In the past two decades, the growing disparity between the number of liver transplant candidates and the supply of deceased donor organs has motivated the development of living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). In order for the surgeon to both cure the patient and not harm the donor, the preoperational assessment of the transplantation efficiency needs to be highly accurate. We are working to improve the assessment process of LDLT through the use of CFD, 4D Flow MRI, and printed physical model experiments.
